It all started with a desire to create something of my own. Today, maha is my small studio, one pair of hands crafting jewelry from the heart, which sometimes has a plan, and sometimes simply happens. I love the balance between detail and imperfection. The intersection between control and intuition inspires me most.

The name "maha" originated in Spain, where I lived for a while. There, no one called me "Maja," only "Maha"—with a Spanish accent that has stayed with me forever. For me, it evokes a feeling of lightness, sunshine, and freedom that I now feel every time I sit down to work.

I create with what gives me joy and freedom. From beads, polymer clay, which allows for endless shaping, and lead-free pewter, which I cast and polish by hand. I combine colors, textures, and structures into jewelry that has character. Sometimes raw, sometimes fairytale, sometimes completely unexpected.

Each thing is a little different, but always true. Just like me.
